Blah.

I don't understand how I became a sucker for anything that depicts irony. It gives me joy, it makes everything fun for me.

Does it have anything to do with my frustrations? I don't know. The answer is still hidden somewhere, waiting to be discovered by a girl whose thoughts are currently not in harmony with her feelings.

The Final Step You Take Toward Insanity :)

This photo inspired me to write something today. Andrea Kelley is a sweet lady and she deserves everything good in life. I really really adore her to death! So I wrote this, inspired by the fairytale-like ambiance of the photo...I'm not so confident about it, but she wouldn't come across this anyway so I'd give it a shot! :)

Beyond the walls of nowhere at North,
Blindfolded by darkness and fraud,
I was hailed Princess of Tramp,
Discerning, but ill fated and dumped.

Confusion served as my crown,
Deceit wrapped my body like a ball gown.
Loneliness was my constant companion,
My Prince was nowhere but my imagination.

Love was my passion, now it's my poison
Slowly, in my veins, it crawled.
My kingdom watched as I faced my downfall,
Handcuffed and tied with my unfortunate fate, I took it all.

Through all this rubbish, I searched for equality.
In my solitude, I found tranquility.
I never regret that the one to kill myself was me.
My name is Andrea, and this is my story.

Okayy...So that was it. I can't think of an appropriate title... Someday I'd ask her for a title. ;P Haha! I love her but I'm a bit shy so this will stay unknown in this blog. I'm depressed, that's why the mood of the poem was kinda gloomy...A trapped princess! Sad, I know...But she reminds me of a lonely princess everytime I look at the picture...Whatever, I just love Andrea Kelley. Whoever stops me from feeling so shall first walk over my lifeless corpse. Kidding, but hell yeah! Love her so...
Okayyy Imma stop now. I idolize her so so much...She has a big big big heart!
This is to Andrea, with love...from the Philippines. :)

All Dolled Up?

It's my aunt's birthday today. Originally, Ham and I planned to go watch a movie, but she bailed out yesterday because she had exams lined up for today. So, bored out of my mind, I decided to go to the mall alone.

The weather was hot, so instead of my usual jeans and shirt outfit, I decided to wear something cool, I mean literally cool.

I raided my closet and found this cute brown jumpsuit (which is now my favorite) and wore it with a rarely used white tank top and a blazer...I don't want to sound vain, but I think I like how it all turned out. :)

Sissy took this picture after calling me out to "show me something". Good thing I posed, haha but it was blurred...I think I like it though. ;P

Whoever Did This...

Whoever had the guts to steal from my food supply shall have the guts to face my wrath!! I can clearly remember having FIVE pretzel bags, not three. SEVEN Oreos, not , and EIGHT canned sodas, not five. Grr.... You could have asked!! I'm starting the investigation right now!

Reviving My Long Forgotten Collection

Candy Magazines by Summit Publishing

I've started collecting Candy when I was in high school. My first ever issue was that of April 2003, but I didn't pursue collecting it back then, since I don't have enough money to sustain it.

My second issue was October 2003, then, August 2005. I only bought Candy when something on the cover caught my attention. I didn't take it too seriously.

Then came July 2006, with Bianca Pereche on the cover. I have no idea if she was a celebrity, if she has been or she still is. All I know till now is that she's the Teen Model Search winner, that's why she was featured on the cover. I still have no idea if something on the cover amused me, maybe the reason why I bought it was that I could relate to the articles at that time. Back in 2003, I really don't understand their articles about love. I remember that one entitled "Can Exes Be Just Friends?' and I was like, what the hell on earth are exes?

Since then, I made it a point to buy Candy every month. It has been a habit. A bad habit, my mom or aunt or even grandmother would complain. I've been addicted to Candy, that I went to the bookstore every first day of every month to get a copy immediately. There was a time I went home frustrated because they didn't have it on stands yet, even if it was already the 3rd day of the month. My collection went on for years, until I went to college.

I've forgotten all about Candy the moment my studies kept me busy. I didn't have time to check if it was already out in stands or what, and I didn't really care. I only bought it if the cover girl interested me. Sadly, I didn't have all the 2009 issues.

Now, I'm promising myself that I'll be a Candy girl again. I miss reading their oh so true articles...And the Candy boys! I'll revive my long forgotten collection...Maybe my future daughter/s might benefit with them someday.

My Monkey Man!

The Sexiest Man Alive

I've been thinking a lot lately about Jackson Rathbone. Not in a bad way, though, so stop whatever dirty thoughts are running in your perverted minds. I've been thinking about him romantically. That's the only way I'll ever think about him.

Why wouldn't people love him, especially girls like me? I have a weakness for musically talented guys, that's extremely sexy. My Jackson above has a band called 100 Monkeys. Not only does he play the guitar, he plays every instrument in the band. Well, all of them do. They switch instruments when they're on a gig. Isn't that reason enough for him to make me drool? Apparently, no.

He also sings impromptu, and when I say impromptu, I mean he asks the audience for a random word-whatever tickles their fancy-and he makes up a song about it on the spot. Now I'm squealing. That just proves his talent with words. It's hard enough to write a poem sometimes, what more a song, on the spot, while there's a strumming guitar or a booming drum, and hundreds of screaming girls counting on you to make the words rhyme and sing in tune. Seriously, Jackson does that.

He is also extremely sweet, I couldn't say it personally because I haven't had the pleasure to meet him yet, but based on the videos I've watch, I could tell he is. He winks, he bites his lips, he blushes. How could anyone be so cool? And sexy? And sweet? All at the same time.... *gush*

He has an accent. It is not obvious at first cause it's just light, but when you listen closely, he has a southern drawl. That's quite expected, since he lives in Texas, but still....That's brownie points. I can only imagine the sound of my name coming from his lips...Nomnomnom.

He is good in acting. Yeah, he really is multi-talented. Even if some people berate him being Jasper, he's good. Jackson is perfect for Jasper. That's how it should be. That's acting, for Lord's sake! Jasper is always in pain because it's hard for him to be around humans...that's why Jackson looked reserved and controlled in the movies. I've also seen the episode of Criminal Minds where he played Amanda, and d*mn if I didn't like it. He played a woman and he pulled it quite well. That's talent, my people.

I could go on with this list forever, stating a million reasons why I love him, but I'll leave it up to the others. I am not alone, sadly. So many girls like me vie for his attention...And I can't blame them. He's quite the man...

Laws of the Universe

UNAVOIDABLE LAWS
These are the unavoidable laws of the natural universe...

1. Law of Mechanical Repair: After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch or you will have to pee.

2. Law of the Workshop: Any tool, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.

3. Law of probability: The probability of ‘being watched’ is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

4. Law of the Telephone: When you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal.

5. Law of the Alibi: If you tell the boss you were late for work because you had a flat tire, the very next morning or soon thereafter, you will have a flat tire.

6. Variation Law: If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will start to move faster than the one you are in now. (Happens every time).

7. Bath Theorem: When the body is fully immersed in water or in the shower, the telephone rings.

8. Law of Close Encounters: The probability of meeting someone you know increases when you are with someone you do not want to be seen with.

9. Law of the Result: When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.

10. Law of Biomechanics: The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.

11. Theater Rule: At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle arrive last.

12. Law of Coffee: As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something, which will last until the coffee is cold.

13. Murphy's Law of Lockers: If there are only two people in a locker room, they will have adjacent lockers.

14. Law of Dirty Rugs/Carpets: The chances of an open-faced jelly sandwich of landing face down on a floor covering are directly correlated to the newness, color and cost of the carpet/rug.

15. Law of Location: No matter where you go, there you are.

16. Law of Logical Argument: Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

17. Brown's Law: If the shoe fits, it's ugly.

18. Oliver's Law: A closed mouth gathers no feet.

19. Wilson's Law: As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

Kissing the Bad Habits Goodbye

I've decided to change for the better starting tomorrow when I wake up...I'll never stay up until the wee hours of the morning again, because it delays my monthly period (and makes my Tita panic) and ruins my skin (pimples!) and makes me cranky...This means goodbye to Twitter chats with my overseas friends...That sucks, but this is for the better. v.v

I'll post something that makes sense tomorrow.

LOVE

Have you ever been in love? Horrible, isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you. Then one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life. You give them a piece of you. They don’t ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness. So a simple phrase like ‘maybe we should just be friends’ or ‘how very perceptive’ turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you- and-rips-you-apart pain.

Was Today A Fairy Tale?

Wait for me, I'm almost ready.

Love is so peculiar. We chase the people who don't like us, yet we run away from people who love us.

It's the fear of not being loved back that's holding us from running to each other-something we want to do for the longest time-it's the fear of being rejected, the fear of being laughed at.

I know you're playing tricks on me. You're testing the waters to see if it's safe to dive, because you wouldn't risk being drowned, but what you don't know is that I am waiting down under to pull you up. I didn't tell you, I didn't tag along your games because I don't want to lose.

So what will happen to our happy ending? If Cinderella would'nt risk her glass shoe, would she end up with her prince? If Prince Charming wouldn't risk a chaste kiss, would he wake Sleeping Beauty? If Ariel wouldn't risk her voice for a pair of feet, what would her life be?

Fairy tales taught me not to fear falling in love. In all the fairy tales I have read, princesses and princes fight for love, fr what they believe in. They draw strength from each other, they compliment each other like day and night, sunshine and rain, tears and smiles. One would be nothing without the other.

What fairy tales didn't teach me is that life is so much different from a fairy tale. I expect someone to sweep me off my feet, save me from disgrace, give me a foot popping kiss. Reality is harsh. There are no knights in shining armors, unicorns and rainbows, not even a grand ball. In reality, all I could see are falling stars, but no wishes come true. There are wars, conflicts, and everyday struggles, but there are no fairies or pixie dusts. The only way to fly is through an airplane, and not even half of the world could afford that.Fairy tales are magical, they're fun to read, but at the end of the day, I still live in reality, which is cold and harsh, and cuts deep, and leaves scars.

These princesses waited patiently for their princes to arrive, but I'm not a princess, and I have no patience. Most of all, you're no prince...And I'm done waiting. You're almost ready, but I have been sitting here for a long time. The bus has arrived,my destination is set.I'm off to follow my fate.
